INTEGRATED SERVICES DIGITAL NETWORK (ISDN) 
Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) is a postpaid
service currently available for corporate and business users in major cities.
ISDN is the digitalization of the
access line between the exchange and the customer's premises,
with a powerful signaling system associated with it.
The ISDN digital access provides
the users with the possibility of initializing end-to-end
digital connections that can support Voice, Data and a
variety of added services
The ISDN products currently available
are two:
Primary Rate Access (PRA) 30B+D
Basic Rate Access (BRA).2B+D
These two services differ basically
in their use and capacity. PRA has 30 bearer channels with
64kb/s capacity each and is intended for big users like
those who want to connect ISDN PABXs. ISDN Basic Rate is
for normal users like residential customers or those with
Small offices because it has two bearer channels with 64kbps
each.
That is BRA user can connect various
terminals (telephone terminal and data terminal) and then
perform simultaneous individual communication with two different
user. e.g at the same time can send facsimile while use
his telephone line with another subscriber. Precisely, multimedia
is communication is possible.
Note that, TTCL has launched its new product branded as TTCL broadband
available in all region headquarters and has to a greater extent replace the
use of ISDN BRA service, therefore when applying for this service seek advice
from nearest TTCL office.
